Graduate Certificate Statistics


Program Overview

This certificate program is intended primarily for part-time students who wish to develop their expertise in Statistics, with application to careers in the private and government sectors. All courses involve face-to-face meetings in small classes offered during the evening hours.


Certificate Requirements

Students complete 9-15 hours of coursework, depending on their undergraduate background in Statistics. The curriculum covers Sampling Design, Probability Theory, Statistical Analysis, Programming and Inference.


Application Procedure

Applications are submitted to ECU’s Graduate School, online or via paper forms. A complete application includes official transcripts from all schools where seven or more hours were earned, a Statement of Purpose, and three letters of recommendation.


Application Deadlines

Applications for admission during the fall semester should be made before June 1. Applications for admission during the spring semester should be made by October 15.
